Joydip Homchowdhury

Founder and Advisor

Joy created WellHive, the platform that connects health systems to other health systems, forming a many-to-many network. This network is the first of its kind regarding the diversity of EHRs and health systems it connects to. With its groundbreaking technology, it is shaping the future of care navigation and coordination.

On a tour of duty at the Department of Veterans Affairs, he developed the vision for a digital health platform for the VA that would fundamentally change the underlying technology framework that powers the department's work to support 10 million Veterans in the United States.

Growing up in India, his inspiration was American inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs, Thomas Edison, and Henry Ford, earning him the title Non-Resident American from his dad. He waited 17 years since he arrived in the US to get his green card and quit his job almost immediately to start his first venture. He named it Tiatros, T for technology - iatro for clinicians - and s for social good. In 2009, he was the first to envision and develop a HIPPA-compliant social network for mental health treatment. The University of California at San Francisco used this platform to launch pioneering mental health programs for returning United States servicemen and women with PTSD concerns and assimilation back to American life.

He has committed the rest of his life to helping small businesses and sole proprietors passionate enough to make a difference in the world.
